Hi Everyone,

We had a busy week last week with appts!

On Monday, I had an NST and the girls did fine. My Baby A is still hard to get a good trace on and by the time we found her, they already had a good recording on Baby B! Baby A did fine though once they found the right spot. The nurses were joking about marking my belly with "X's" so they'd know where to find the girls! :-) My BP was fine while I was there, too.

On Tuesday, I had a doctor's appt. My BP was up again - we decided that I have "white coat hypertension" and just don't like going to the office! She was on call the day before and saw me at the hospital during the NST and saw what my BP was. I also had the record of last week with the visiting nurse and it was fine. She had the lab take blood for tests just to be on the safe side. She found the girls' heartbeats right away and both were fine and my cervix is still unchanged. She couldn't believe I was 35 wks 4 days with twins and still pregnant and still doing so well! She is very happy about it though - I think she is almost as excited as we are that the c/s day is coming soon!

I had a BPP Thurs. and the girls did great. I was glad to see them that day, 'cause Baby B had me a little nervous on Wed. She was moving, but not like usual. Whenever I tried to get her to move she wouldn't budge, but then in a little while would start kicking or squirming. I was able to do her kick counts so I knew she was ok and then when we went to bed that night, she was moving all around! I think she had moved to my side instead of being across my belly. She was back where she belongs on Thurs. and was acting "normal" again! I guess she's just trying to keep Mommy on her toes!

My BP has been good with the nurse this week too. 5 days left -but who's counting?! LOL I just wish I could have the innocence back for one week and just be relaxed and excited without worrying that they'll be ok.

My belly is very huge and whenever I go for appts I see people staring at me or they'll say "my goodness, when are you due?!" I think it's pretty funny to see the looks on their faces when I say we're having twins! Overall, I'm feeling really good. I have less pelvic pain, but my hips still hurt alot at night. It is just very hard getting out of bed or off the couch. I have been very lucky during this pg though and wouldn't trade any of it!

Next week is going to be busy, so hopefully it will go by fast. Mon is another NST, Tues is a doc's appt, Wed is a level 2 u/s, Thurs is a pre-op consult and bloodwork and Friday is the big day! Now, if I can just keep my sanity for a few more days, we'll be ok!

My c-section is scheduled for 8:30 Friday morning and I know the girls will arrive shortly after that.  Sometime during next weekend Buddy will send out an update and let everyone know what's going on.  I'll let you know how this week's appts go before Friday.

Buddy has the new u/s pics on the website, it's just missing this update - he's ahead of me this time!

We hope everyone is doing well.  Take care!

Love,

Denise & Buddy, Parents of Zachary Michael b/s 7/26/99 and Little Girls c/s 8/18/00
